About Courthouse Pub
An upscale-yet-comfortable brewpub in Manitowoc, WI, known for its courthouse theme, high standards of food (many items made from scratch), and a phenomenal wine list that has consistently won the Wine Spectator Award. It was the first brewpub in Manitowoc and maintains a focus on detail, from its 'Cream City' bricks to its intricate pub tiling.
History
The site has hosted establishments for over 140 years, starting as Frank Willinger's Beer Hall around 1885. During Prohibition, it became the Court Café, and later Pekel's Colonial Inn. In 2001, John Jagemann rebuilt the establishment on the original footprint to create the Courthouse Pub. The pub was later acquired in 2018 by former employees Brock Weyer and Ryan Morris.
