About City Lights Brewing Co.
A Milwaukee-based craft brewery located in the historic West Side Water Works campus (formerly Milwaukee Gas Light Company). Known for its stunning red-brick architecture and a dedication to brewing science, they aim to provide balanced and high-quality craft beers in a setting that honors the city's industrial lore.
History
Launched in 2017 by the Gohsman family, who previously operated as 4 Brothers Blended Beer Co. starting in 2013. The brewery is housed in iconic buildings designed by Alexander Eschweiler in 1902, which originally facilitated the coal gasification process for Milwaukee's street lamps. Despite its success as a community gathering spot, City Lights announced its closure in December 2024.
