History

Founded by Joe Villacrez, a former Air Force aviator and chemist. Joe's passion started with a homebrew kit in 2002. He previously worked as summer help at the Joseph Huber Brewing Company in the 70s, an experience that inspired the 'Bottle Down Brown Ale.' He acquired a 3-barrel system from Trap Rock Brewing and later upgraded to a 5-barrel system in February 2026. The brewery is named as a tribute to the cranberry bogs of Northern Monroe County.
